I grew up working and taking care of dogs, cats, and animals with my relatives in the countryside who are very passionate about having animals on the farm. From a very young age, I always love being surrounded by lots of animals.
In Barcelona (Spain), I have had friends who had been a dog hairdresser for more than 30 years and, because of them, I started aiming to become a professional hairdresser and become a show dogs handler for a small dog with long hair. It is how I began specializing in working with Maltese and then work my way up to training with other professional dog handlers and groomers.
When I moved to the US in Los Angeles, California, in 2009, there I decided to hone my expertise and enrolled to get my professional dog and cat hairdressing and behavioral training certificate.
I am a member of the following association in the US and Spain:
1- International Association of Canin Professionals (IACP): Professional member with more than ten years of experience.
2- National Cat Groomers Institute (NCGI): Professional member with more than ten years in the sector.
3- Member of the wolf conservation support and behavioral studies at California Wolf Center, San Diego
4 – Cynological Association of Catalonia (Asociación Cinológica de Catalunya) for the preservation of dogs’ breed in Spain
Before that, I was a member of:
– National Dog Groomers Association of America (USA canine hairdressers association: A professional member with more than ten years of experience.
– Association of Union of canine hairdressers and felines of Spain – Association of Pet Dog Trainers (professional member with more than ten years of experience)
